Production Supervisor Job at Trinity Industries in Saginaw

Trinity Rail is searching for a talented leader to fill the open position of Production Supervisor in our Saginaw, TX plant!  In this role you will establish production plans and technical project objectives to meet the short and long term goals of the plant by setting production lines based on manufacturing schedule while maintaining efficiency, material supply, production quality, and staffing resources and volume required to meet demand. 

What you'll Do:

• Participate in establishing strategic plans and objectives 
• Supervisor manufacturing and/or production operations including assembly, machinery, and processing
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the group in a production environment
• Select, assign, evaluate and instruct non-exempt workforce in various manufacturing projects
• Interpret, administer, and execute policies/ procedures
• Lead /implement process improvements
• Oversees day-to-day operations of the group in a production and/or repair environment.
• Interpret, administer, execute policies/procedures.
• Authority for personnel action (hire, suspend, lay off, recall, promote and discipline employees)
• Train and ensure safety of team members
• Monitor schedule to accomplish manufacturing goals
• Exercise independent judgment
• Typically, supervise up to 50 workers within a product line
