New York Life, a Fortune 100 Company, is seeking a Director of Recruiting/Recruiting Coordinator/Recruiting Assistant to assist a New York Life Partner in the sourcing, recruiting, and selection of new and experienced Life Insurance Agents, Registered Representatives, and Sales Managers. You will be responsible for assisting a New York Life recruiter for the full cycle of the recruiting process. This is a key role inside a high-growth office.

Proficiencies that are Preferred

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience (Salesforce)
  • Developing a referral network to source 100 warm recruiting leads on a monthly basis
  • Mining multiple resume databases to identify qualified candidates and scheduling screening interviews (~ 150 outbound calls per week)
  • Conducting 30 monthly screening interviews and managing candidates through our 3-interview selection process
  • Conducting/Attending 40 networking meetings per month
  • Managing all incoming applications and scheduling qualified candidates for screening interviews
  • Keeping job postings refreshed on all sites
  • You will be recruiting for Insurance Agent/Registered Representatives/Sales Management Positions
  • Be up to date on current recruiting trends, tools, and technology

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Interviews & Meetings
    • Schedule candidate interviews with recruiters, hiring managers, and teams.
    • Manage calendars, confirmations, and follow-up communications.
  • Candidate Communication & Support
    • Serve as the first point of contact for applicants.
    • Provide updates, instructions, and next steps throughout the hiring process.
  • Application & Document Processing
    • Assist with collecting, reviewing, and organizing candidate paperwork (applications, background checks, licensing forms).
    • Ensure compliance with NYL and industry requirements.
  • Recruitment Support & Sourcing
    • Help recruiters identify potential candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and internal referral systems.
    • Track applicant flow and maintain recruiting databases.
  • Data Entry & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate candidate records in recruiting systems (ATS/CRM).
    • Generate weekly/monthly reports on recruiting activity and pipeline metrics.
  • Onboarding Assistance
    • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing welcome materials and scheduling orientation.
    • Coordinate licensing and training requirements for agent candidates.
  • Office & Administrative Support
    • Handle recruiting-related correspondence, forms, and filing.
    • Assist with event planning for job fairs, info sessions, and career days.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in recruiting, human resources, or administrative support strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or CRM platforms is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with candidates, managers, and office staff.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Compensation

$15 hourly
