Overview

A leading Am Law firm is seeking a Legal Recruiting Manager to oversee lateral associate and counsel hiring, while supporting student recruiting and the firm’s summer associate program. This is a high-impact role that partners closely with firm leadership, offering the opportunity to shape recruiting strategy across multiple offices. This role will be hybrid and can sit in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Santa Monica, NYC, Boston, or D.C.

Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage lateral recruiting strategy for associates, patent agents, and counsel
• Partner with practice group leaders to forecast hiring needs and develop sourcing strategies
• Support 1L, 2L, and 3L recruiting, including law school outreach, on-campus interviews, and summer associate program planning
• Collaborate with departments such as Legal Personnel, Training & Development, and Marketing to ensure seamless integration and branding
• Manage end-to-end candidate experience, including interview scheduling, feedback coordination, and offer process
• Monitor legal market trends and competitor activity to inform recruiting strategy and compensation benchmarking
• Build and maintain strong relationships with law schools, search firms, and industry professionals to enhance candidate pipeline
• Supervise and provide guidance to recruiting coordinators and/or assistants

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 8+ years of recruiting experience within a law firm or in-house legal department
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
• Familiarity with systems such as LawCruit, Florecruit, viRecruit, or Workday is a plus
