Overview
CANDIDATE SPECIALIST, RECRUITING
SpaceX is developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. The Candidate Specialist position is the initial step in the recruiting process, focusing on reviewing, evaluating, and screening inbound applications in concentrated areas, acting as the first point of contact for onsite candidates, providing facility tours, and sharing the SpaceX story. The role may evolve to identify passive talent for high-priority requisitions and support initial outreach, with program management responsibilities to improve hiring efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide tours of the facility and give an overview of SpaceXs history
- Manage onsite interview logistics, coordinating between recruiters, recruiting coordinators, and the hiring team
- Learn about the business to speak intelligently about programs with candidates and client groups
- Ensure a positive candidate experience during interviews
- Review inbound applications for select roles and, when appropriate, identify and build talent pools
- Partner with recruiters to align on the ideal candidate profile
- Share relevant applicants with the corresponding hiring teams
- Drive program management to measure and improve hiring efficiency for the scope/core area
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in recruiting or human resources
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a recruiting coordinator, applicant reviewer, or in a sourcing capacity
- Experience as a recruiter
- Experience with Greenhouse or other applicant tracking system
- Proficiency with MS Outlook and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and adapt to changing priorities
- Team player with a high sense of urgency
- Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a strong desire to contribute to the teams success
- Discretion with confidential and sensitive information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of staff
- Ability to learn and speak intelligently about SpaceX and the space industry
Additional Requirements
- This role is 100% onsite and requires relocation if not local
- Willing to work weekends and extended hours as needed
Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: Candidate Specialist: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Your base salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, education, and experience.
