Sr. Manager, Executive Recruiting
As part of Talent Acquisition, the Executive Talent Acquisition team partners with company leaders to identify, engage and cultivate top talent. This role focuses on attracting passive, market-leading talent to Capital One, and leads the design, delivery and implementation of holistic executive recruiting strategies across various lines of business and functional areas. You will partner with senior executive stakeholders across the enterprise, including Product Management, Tech, Design and Risk Management, and independently manage executive search (VP+) direct sourcing strategies, delivering an exceptional candidate and client experience. Responsibilities
This is a visible role with the ability to impact change across the company and drive meaningful solutions by attracting extraordinary talent to Capital One. To do this you will:
- Lead all aspects of the executive search lifecycle: search/market intelligence strategy, sourcing & identification of top talent communities, candidate cultivation, client management, offer negotiations and executive onboarding
- Act as a trusted advisor on market and industry trends, and on internal shifts that may impact hiring demands
- Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing strategies, drive proactive market research and promote referrals in competitive talent areas
- Integrate primary research, internal data, secondary sources, and marketplace intelligence to drive business decisions; embrace data & analytics
- Manage client and candidate expectations, advising on best practices when engaging passive candidates
- Influence and educate stakeholders and interviewers, delivering a consistent recruiting process for both client and candidate
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners (e.g., search firms)
- Collaborate with an extended team to drive alignment, particularly in managing candidate expectations and experience through offer negotiations
- Stay current on emerging technology affecting the talent acquisition lifecycle and identify opportunities for innovation
- Share Capital One's value proposition and mission with external talent
- Contribute to the knowledge base of executive recruiting by mentoring and coaching teammates, and training on relevant industries and talent communities
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
- At least 5 years of recruiting or research experience in a global in-house recruiting team, executive search firm, or large multinational organization
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years advising and influencing executive leadership
- 2+ years recruiting tech or product executive talent

The salary ranges listed below are for candidates hired to work in the specified locations and may vary by location. Salaries for other locations will be based on the applicable local pay range. This role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
Locations and salary ranges: McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900; Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200.
