What Youll Do

  • Coordinate and manage all college, school and program tours, meet with prospective students and their families, and manage daily information sessions. Promote and represent the college/school by answering any questions prospects may have during information sessions and tours.
  • Provide prospective students and families with information about degree programs, career options, and extracurricular activities offered in the college via phone, email, Zoom, and in-person interactions.
  • Attend all university-wide recruitment events as a liaison for the college/school.
  • Follow up with prospective students after in-person and virtual interactions, coordinating additional meetings if necessary.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

About Temporary Employment Services (TES)

TES, a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified temporary employees across a variety of occupations to meet campus staffing needs. Temporary employees are hired for several reasons, including:

  • Assistance in place of a regular employee absent for a period
  • Additional help during periods of peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

AU students are not eligible for TES.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required – no specific discipline
  • 1 year of experience in public relations, marketing, recruiting, advising, counseling, and/or event planning

Substitutions

  • Education substitutions: indicated education is required; no substitutions allowed.
  • Experience substitutions: indicated experience is required; no substitutions allowed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of university recruitment techniques, educational institutions, public relations, marketing, organization methods, and event planning software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Certification or Licensure

  • Valid Driver’s License required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in recruiting or student outreach preferred.

Salary, Hours, and Location

  • Salary Range: $20.00/hour
  • Work Hours: 20 hours per week; hours vary 7:45am–4:45pm including night and weekend recruitment events
  • City/State: Auburn, Alabama
