Why This Role Matters:
We are scaling rapidlyacquiring agencies, launching new services, and growing our product and AI teams. To match that pace, we need a hands-on Talent and Recruiting Lead who can build and run a lean, high-performance hiring engine.
Youll work directly with the CEO (Ali Safavi) and functional leaders to drive end-to-end recruiting: from role design and scorecarding to sourcing, screening, and closing. This role is a force-multiplier for our executive and operational focus.
What Youll Do:
- Recruiting Ops: Build sourcing pipelines for technical, GTM, and insurance roles.
- Candidate Experience: Own communication, screening, and scheduling workflows.
- Interview Design: Develop scorecards, WHO-method assessments, and close plans.
- Tools & Systems: Set up or manage ATS (Ashby/Lever/Greenhouse), LinkedIn Recruiter, and Notion workflows.
- Executive Search Support: Partner with external firms when needed for exec roles.
- Reporting: Track metrics like time-to-fill, pipeline quality, and source effectiveness.
What You Bring:
- 4+ years experience in startup or early-stage recruitingeither in-house or agency
- Comfortable owning end-to-end recruiting across functions (esp. GTM, product, ops)
- Strong grasp of structured hiring (WHO method, scorecards, behavioral interviews)
- Experience with ATS tools (Ashby, Lever, or similar)
- Based in or able to spend time in LA regularly (hybrid preferred)
- Highly organized, entrepreneurial, and aligned with COVUs builder mindset
