Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work in a high-tech or industrial manufacturing environment, such as automotive, aerospace, or electronics. Your main focus will be on optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring top-quality production output.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of stamping, molding, or assembly lines, ensuring optimal quality and output.
- Monitor and fine-tune processes, troubleshooting issues with tooling, machines, or process flow.
- Design, evaluate, and improve mold and die tooling in collaboration with toolmakers and machinists.
- Support the development of automation platforms and manufacturing cells.
- Act as a bridge between product development and manufacturing, ensuring new product designs are manufacturable and scalable.
- Participate in project teams to support product launches.
- Roll out best practices and standards across plants, aligning global manufacturing sites with Center of Excellence guidelines.
- Utilize systems like SAP, CAD, and TLM to manage tooling, parts, and processes.
- Analyze data to support continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Assist R&D in creating prototypes and sample manufacturing setups, evaluating feasibility and performance of new tools and processes.
- Deep understanding of mold/die tooling, machining, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, DoE, FMEA, and other quality/process tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ability to interface effectively with engineering, production, and R&D teams.
- Competency in technical systems like CAD, SAP, and manufacturing execution systems.
- Experience in advanced manufacturing and process improvement.
- Knowledge of assembly processes and work instruction development.
- Project management skills.
You will work in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process leadership and optimization. The role requires the use of various technical tools, including CAD, CAE, and industrial or quality engineering tools. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production processes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
