Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will manage the assembly process for two high-running, mechanically driven injector products, ensuring consistent quality and performance. You will troubleshoot assembly line issues, drive process improvements, and collaborate with various teams to address manufacturing challenges. Additionally, you will maintain and update APQP documentation and coordinate with the gauge lab to ensure proper calibration of gauges.
Responsibilities
- Manage the assembly process for injector products, ensuring quality and performance.
- Troubleshoot assembly line issues, including torque driver failures and fixture problems.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with the test group to investigate test failures and trace issues back to the assembly process.
- Maintain and update APQP documentation, including control plans and PFMEAs.
- Coordinate with design, quality, and operations teams to address complex manufacturing challenges.
- Document processes thoroughly to support quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Study time motion methods to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
- Review worker logs and product processing sheets to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
- Approve work assignments based on worker performance and production schedules.
- Review charts and diagrams to illustrate workflow and machine utilization.
- Evaluate data and reports to validate or indicate deviations from standards.
- Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards.
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- 2-4 years of hands-on assembly experience in precision manufacturing.
- Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
- Experience with gauge calibration processes is beneficial.
- Familiarity with specific systems and processes is valued.
Work in a precision manufacturing environment, focusing on assembly processes and quality assurance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and operations. Utilize company-specific certified gauges and work with specialized gauge labs. Dress code is professional, adhering to standard safety and operational guidelines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $37.50/hr.
