Forest Neurotech is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the development, execution, and management of manufacturing processes, fixture development, and material flows for our groundbreaking ultrasound-on-chip implant designed for minimally invasive brain-computer interfacing. This role involves developing robust, scalable manufacturing processes, designing and producing manufacturing tooling, managing material flows, and maintaining quality standards throughout our manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of electronic systems manufacturing.

Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing tooling and assembly fixtures.
- Create and maintain build documentation including work instructions and manufacturing routers.
- Collaborate with design engineers to implement design-for-manufacturing (DFM) strategies.
- Participate directly in prototype and production builds to validate processes, tooling, and assembly instructions.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to refine manufacturing processes.
- Maintain traceability and compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain material management processes and inventory systems supporting lean and ISO13485 compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including hands-on development of fixtures and tooling.
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical and pneumatic design and assembly processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- 3D modeling experience, SolidWorks preferred.
Nice to Have
- ISO 13485 medical device experience.
