Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Type: Long term

Qualifications: Manufacturing Engineering, Strong in SAP, experience creating and updating routings, Bill of Materials (BOM), shop floor experience. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience working on components like shafts, discs, etc. No semiconductor or medical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and review manufacturing documentation to support production processes.
• Analyze shop floor data, design requirements, and manufacturing capabilities to recommend quality improvements to design engineering.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing information such as routing, tooling costs, and risk assessments for new products and processes.
• Design and manufacture tooling and fixtures for production.
• Support product quality initiatives and continuous improvement to reduce non-conformances.

Work Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, especially with valves, assembly procedures, shafts, or discs.
• 1-2 years’ hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical assemblies is preferred.
• Technical leadership in safety, quality, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication skills and flexibility to work nights/weekends to support urgent projects.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SAP, especially creating and updating BOMs and routings.
• Experience with shop floor activities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with valves, shafts, or discs.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
