Essential Functions
- Develop robust, repeatable processes and controls for existing and new manufacturing processes which are scalable and efficient.
- Independently design and build complex manufacturing processes, equipment, tools and systems.
- Troubleshoot product and manufacturing defects to determine root cause of failures.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement programs; identify and drive opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency gains, process improvements, etc.
- Liaison with vendors to ensure custom parts meet our specifications.
- Create and maintain accurate process documentation such as assembly instructions, drawings, databases, Engineering Change Orders, etc.
- Teach and train assembly technicians and quality control personnel on methods, tooling, and procedures for product assembly or fabrication.
- Understand and be responsible for following established project budgets and schedules.
- Collaborate with the New Product Development, Quality and Operations teams to ensure New Products can be reliably and repeatedly manufactured on our production line.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across manufacturing teams.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- 5+ years of consumer, medical or military product manufacturing experience in a low-medium volume production setting.
- Knowledge of a range of manufacturing processes such as; injection molding, low pressure overmolding, soldering, cable harness assembly, PCBA assembly and programming, CNC lathe machining, die cutting, electrical testing, leak testing.
- Solid background in the design of mechanical components and systems using CAD (CREO preferred), including revision control.
- A strong understanding of fundamental mechanical and design principles.
- A demonstrated history of accountability and performance delivery to meet or exceed objectives.
- Able to use qualitative and quantitative data to drive engineering and manufacturing decisions.
- Impeccable attention to detail, with the ability to work creatively around difficult business, technical and resource constraints.
- Ability to manage and lead multiple projects, execute technical deliverables on time and on task, and prioritize different tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cable harness manufacturing and IPC-/WHMA-A-620E is strongly desired.
- IPC-A-610 Certification.
- Familiar with MRP/ERP systems and document control principles.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies, Six Sigma tools, RCCA, PFMEA, DFM, and Kaizen events.
- Experience with soft goods manufacturing for tactical applications.
- Highly competent with hand and shop tools.
- Microsoft and Google office software.
- Fishbowl Inventory Management software experience.
- Excel/Access knowledge.
- Must be a US citizen or US permanent resident.
