Rogue Fitness is hiring: Manufacturing Engineer in Columbus

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for solving challenges with excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness. They develop solutions by observing issues on site, collecting and analyzing relevant information, and leveraging their experience and that of the team.

The Manufacturing Engineer role is fully onsite in Columbus, Ohio. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

• Thorough understanding of safety processes as they apply to manufacturing
• Reduce waste in the manufacturing process
• Establish and maintain business standards such as Machine Programs and Fixture and Tooling Management
• Lead engineering support to Operations by improving safety, quality, and efficiency
• Install large equipment packages and conduct successful, detail-oriented runoffs
• Work cross-functionally to identify problems and recommend solutions
• Improve processes to increase throughput and reduce changeover times
• Manage multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Distill large volumes of data into actionable business strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume metal fabrication environment (preferred)
• 2+ years as a manufacturing process owner (preferred)
• Experience with Laser cutting or Machining processes (a plus)
• Ability to understand process interdependencies and create value
• Experience with purchasing capital equipment and supporting production start-up
• Experience with automation of manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of Engineering Change Management
• Lean training and application of lean tools in manufacturing
• Knowledge of quality systems and process controls
• Data-driven, analytical, and detail-oriented problem solver
• Hands-on mentality and good collaboration with production team members
