Job Title: Manufacturing Associate – Biotech Operations

Duration:12 Months (Possibility of extension)

Schedule Notes:

Manufacturing Associates are needed to support 24/7 operations. Shifts may include:

• 5 x 8-hour shifts
• 4 x 10-hour shifts
• 3 x 12-hour shifts
• 4 x 12-hour shifts

Shift schedules will be discussed during the interview process. Off-shift and weekend availability is required.

Position Summary:

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Associates to join our biotechnology production team. In this role, you will operate large-scale bioprocessing equipment and support upstream and downstream activities involved in cell culture and protein purification. Candidates must have either a relevant degree or 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate large-scale bioprocess equipment for cell culture and purification operations.
• Prepare buffer and media solutions according to established procedures.
• Execute all stages of processing, including:
• Equipment setup and disassembly
• Clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations
• Integrity testing of filters
• Calibration and operation of analytical instruments
• Demonstrate competency with automated control systems and production equipment.
• Support manufacturing processes such as:
• Cell culture
• Depth and tangential flow filtration (TFF)
• Protein purification and formulation
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and proper documentation practices.
• Maintain accurate batch records and data capture in compliance with regulatory standards.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Physically demanding work involving repetitive motions.

• Regular activities include bending, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, and kneeling.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull items averaging 25 pounds.
• Work may be performed near loud equipment and in cleanroom or controlled environments.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and off-hours, as needed.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering-related field OR

• Associate degree in a science field or Biotech certificate with 2+ years of experience in biotech manufacturing or another regulated industry.
