Manufacturing Engineer at Actalent
Job Description
Role: Manufacturing Engineer. Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor performance of process parameters to identify non-conforming products, low yields, or quality issues.
- Interface with Quality and Engineering Departments to resolve manufacturing production issues.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to improve equipment uptime and component longevity through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Continuous Improvement (CI), and Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities.
- Develop technical training and documentation for manufacturing new and existing products.
- Plan, specify, select, validate, and implement new equipment, processes, and facilities in manufacturing.
- Assist in maintaining ISO Quality Standards plant-wide.
- Engage in the identification and resolution of corrective/preventative actions to address safety, quality, technical, and manufacturing issues.
Essential Skills
- Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with IQMS or similar ERP software.
- 3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
- Experience evaluating, performing root cause analysis, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Proficiency in using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, or related software.
- Knowledge of ISO13485:2016 and FDA 21 CFR part 820 (CGMP).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Six Sigma and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Experience in medical device manufacturing, particularly with ISO standards and injection molding.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00/yr. Full benefits with client and PTO.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Cary, IL.
