All About You

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are a professional responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures involved in manufacturing processes. Your duties include researching automation techniques to maximize the efficiency of production lines and supporting manufacturing activities with assistance in product flow, tooling, and fixtures. You will also consider how manufacturing processes impact the environment. You may design machines and equipment and obtain required certifications (e.g., laser, X-ray), as well as implement efficiencies and ergonomic improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tool design
  • Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Well-versed in relevant software (e.g., SolidWorks, MS Office)
  • Project management skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Teamwork skills
  • May be required to work overtime or off-shift hours
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating manufacturing processes
  • Developing effective automated and non-automated systems
  • Designing and installing equipment
  • Resolving issues and delays in production
  • Providing technical support for manufacturing to ensure maximum throughput, efficiency, and quality
  • Assisting in the development of new products to ensure their ability to be manufactured efficiently
  • Managing improvement projects to reduce costs and improve product quality
  • Supporting the maintenance department on technical issues to decrease downtime and increase production efficiency through timely maintenance
  • Training staff in new and existing processes
  • Collaborating with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ensuring that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
