Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer applies knowledge and skills related to primary aircraft systems, ensuring the product conforms to its intended form, fit, and function. They determine parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications and plan the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel in accordance with HCOA-approved procedures, quality standards, testing, and technical data.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all essential duties and responsibilities independently.
  • Produce technical data such as 3D CAD files, Mylars, shop aides, and dimensioned drawings to support manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with production to develop tooling, including forms tooling and medium-complexity bond fixtures.
  • Provide training and oversight to Manufacturing Engineers I and II.
  • Work with external customers to address technical concerns as needed.
  • Develop necessary tooling from authority datasets, including complex contoured drill and bond fixtures.
  • Support investigation of CARs and PQDRs as engineering support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing data development, build plans, and tool design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, especially SolidWorks and DXF manipulation.
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes, technical data, and drawings.
  • Experience with aerospace or defense contracts is preferred.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience and education.

Background and drug tests are required.

This is an onsite position, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Physical Demands / ADA Compliance:

Constant use of computers and office machinery is required. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds, rarely up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision.
