Job Description

In this role, you will create and develop processes that aren't in place yet and have experience in various manufacturing engineering functions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and optimize manufacturing processes, work cells, and machinery.
  • Obtain and use data to drive decisions about cell design and process improvement.
  • Evaluate and document existing processes.
  • Identify process improvements, recommend necessary capital investments, and communicate needs to leadership.
  • Calculate ROI, increase throughput, and relay out processes.
  • High proficiency with 3D CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software for work cell layout, product flow revision, and tooling design.
  • Evaluate existing tooling and fixturing, making recommendations to improve safety, operability, and efficiency.
  • Translate technical specifications from Applications Engineering into CAD-based layouts and full bills of material to support in-house fabrication and assembly.
  • Promote design standards, design-for-manufacturing, and cost-sensitive criteria throughout designs.
  • Monitor progress against schedule and keep self on track.
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Communicate openly and build relationships.
  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills, capable of leading project meetings, giving presentations to small groups, and assisting with customer communication.
  • Adhere to core values: positive attitude, adaptability, accountability, and self-motivation.
  • Implement process improvements to reduce COPQ in coordination with the Quality Team, Operations, and Production Managers.
  • Demonstrate year-over-year COPQ reduction through completed projects and manufacturing process quality improvements.

Work Environment

This role is based in North Prairie. The location currently has 20 employees and is growing. You will be working with plastics and steel at this facility.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
