This position involves working within a team to oversee both newly awarded and existing ECU production lines. The role is primarily focused on process improvements, enhancing machine uptime, reducing defects, minimizing equipment resets, and supporting cross-functional teams. Secondary responsibilities include purchasing, installing, and validating new manufacturing equipment, along with managing all necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

• Implement process improvements for production efficiency.
• Enhance machine uptime and reduce defects.
• Minimize equipment resets and support cross-functional teams.
• Purchase, install, and validate new manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain necessary documentation for equipment installation.
• Support existing production lines with uptime improvements.
• Design new fixturing and conduct PLC troubleshooting/programming.
• Assist in setting up preventive maintenance schedules.
• Create spare parts lists and implement necessary improvements.

Essential Skills

• Manufacturing engineering expertise.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience in robotics and process improvement.
• Project management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge in electrical, electronics, and mechanical engineering.
• PLC programming skills.
• Experience in C++ and Visual Basic.
• Understanding of surface-mount technology.
• Competence in mechanical engineering and plant layout.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field.
• 1-2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of motors and equipment.
• Experience with SolidWorks 3-D CAD modeling or other CAD systems.
• Programming capability in PLC/GLC, C++, VB, SQL, etc.
• Experience with vision systems like Keyence and Cognex.
• Prior engineering experience in automotive/manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is an electronic manufacturing facility that is mostly clean-room and requires the use of smocks and ESD shoes. The facility is part of a large organization, requiring the ability to work cross-functionally with various groups such as Quality, Production, Machine Build, and Design Engineering. The facility is clean and climate-controlled, offering a professional setting for manufacturing operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $37.00/hr.
