Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced EDM Manufacturing Engineer to support Wire Electrical Discharge Machining operations, tooling validation, and CAD-based analysis in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This role is critical to the production of turbine components and requires strong knowledge of EDM technologies, CAD tools, and legacy-to-modern manufacturing process transitions.

The ideal candidate has a background in mechanical or manufacturing engineering and brings hands-on experience with Wire, Sinker, and Filmcool EDM, as well as fixture design evaluation and G-code programming.

Key Responsibilities:

* Program and support Electrical Discharge Machining processes, including setup, wiring, and production optimization

* Use CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) to evaluate part designs and analyze fixture layouts

* Identify and resolve dimensional and clearance issues using CAD-based tools and engineering judgment

* Troubleshoot G-code programming and tooling geometry issues related to EDM equipment

* Interpret legacy drawings and align them with current fixture and tool designs, especially when GD&T is incomplete

* Apply core principles of Sinker, Wire, and Filmcool EDM technologies across varied platforms

* Collaborate with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to ensure timely project execution and production support

Required Qualifications:

* Hands-on experience with CAD software (Siemens NX preferred)

* Proficiency with G-code programming and debugging

* In-depth knowledge of EDM platforms (Wire, Sinker, Filmcool)

* Strong print reading skills and working familiarity with GD&T

* Ability to troubleshoot and drive process improvements in a production environment

* Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

* Associate, Technology, or Bachelor"s Degree in Engineering

* Experience with WINBRO EDM systems

* Background supporting legacy equipment transitions to updated digital workflows

* Strong project coordination and cross-functional communication skills

Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $40.00-45.00 per hour. Guidelines vary based on many factors including but not limited to education, qualifications, experience, discipline, geographic location, market, and business considerations.
