Manufacturing Technician I - Lexington, MA

We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician I in the Boston area. This is a 12-month contract position, with a flexible pay rate depending on experience. Interested applicants should send a Word resume to Sam Wade at slwade@apexsystems.com.

Position Description

The Manufacturing Technician I, under direct supervision, will perform routine manufacturing operations for the production of clinical and/or commercial products. Responsibilities include operating production equipment according to SOPs in assigned areas.

Required Skills

  • Execute routine production operations
  • Perform Batch Record and Form Preps
  • Enter data into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Sample preparation and testing
  • Complete required training on time
  • Maintain safety standards and report safety issues

Desired Skills (not required but beneficial)

  • Experience with cGMP activities
  • Proficiency with benchtop equipment (centrifuge, osmometer, conductivity meter, etc.)
  • Basic ultrafiltration and cell culture knowledge
  • Ability to gown and gain access to biotech/pharma manufacturing areas
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs, stand for 6 hours, and work on ladders or platforms
