Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintains and improves procedures, documentation, tools, fixtures, and programs on existing printed circuit boards, electro-mechanical assemblies, and final products.
- Identifies the root cause of manufacturing process and product nonconformities and implements corrective and preventative actions.
- Collaborates with Product Development engineering to create or modify test programs to verify the performance of new assemblies, peripherals, and products.
- Maintains production test programs upon release to production.
- Diagnoses and investigates technical problems, resolving issues or developing solutions in conjunction with other departments.
- Generates and executes Process Validation protocols and continuously improves manufacturing documentation.
- Trains technicians on production methods, equipment, and procedures for new and existing assemblies and products.
- Enhances Operations Quality System Processes to meet local and corporate quality goals.
Qualifications
Education Required: B.A./B.S. in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or BioMedical Engineering.
Experience: 2+ years in a manufacturing support role.
Specialized Knowledge: Statistical methods (DOE, SPC), ability to read technical drawings/electrical schematics, proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with FDA 21 CFR Part 820 Medical Device Manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree preferred. Familiarity with FDA’s Design Control, ISO requirements, automated testing software (LabView, Test Stand), knowledge of x-ray or other capital equipment, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
