Role: Lean Manufacturing Engineer — you will be a key change agent, responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing lean manufacturing processes. Your primary mission will be to identify and eliminate waste, optimize workflow, and improve overall efficiency in our electronics manufacturing operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement lean manufacturing projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Create value stream maps, facilitate kaizen events, and implement visual management systems on the shop floor.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvements.
- Train staff in lean principles and tools.
- Act as a mentor to foster a continuous improvement mindset throughout the operation.
- Collaborate closely with the production team, engineers, and quality staff to ensure Lean solutions are aligned with operational objectives.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor\'s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience applying lean manufacturing methodologies in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronics or aerospace industry.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is highly desirable.
- Mastery in Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke and Kanban.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking and writing).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of ISO9000 and AS9100 quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.) and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
