Role Overview

This position supports the assembly operations of Airbus A220/E2 Nacelle systems. The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on optimizing production performance, improving process efficiency, and driving continuous improvement. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine tooling, layout, and sequencing while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Role Overview

This position supports the assembly operations of Airbus A220/E2 Nacelle systems. The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on optimizing production performance, improving process efficiency, and driving continuous improvement. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine tooling, layout, and sequencing while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure manufacturing sequences and product builds comply with EH&S and quality requirements
• Design and arrange tooling, machines, and production layouts
• Collaborate with design engineers to improve producibility and manufacturability
• Implement process upgrades using robotics, automation, and engineering applications
• Analyze drawings and specifications to influence design changes and optimize line balancing
• Participate in tool design reviews to reduce build times and program costs
• Use data analytics and SPC to improve OEE, First Pass Yield, and productivity
• Lead problem-solving initiatives (C/A investigations, customer escapes, yield issues)
• Contribute to PFMEA development and control plan execution
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (routings, BOMs, visual aids, standard work)
• Support digital manufacturing initiatives with guidance from subject matter experts
  
  

Required Qualifications

• SAP experience
• RTPR assembly experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with adapting equipment/machine design to production environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow work instructions and perform basic math calculations
• Self-inspection and audit capability
  
  

Preferred Skills And Tools

• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Basic knowledge of robotics and automation
• Understanding of Six Sigma / Red X methodologies
• Basic project management skills
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and operational software
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage resources effectively
  
  

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
