Job Description: Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will engage in process work such as time studies, building and fleshing out processes. You will create 3D models and generate 2D views, utilizing tools to zoom in and check dimensions. This role involves training to use the MRP system for building routings, primarily within the welding department. While welding expertise is not mandatory, as training will be provided, any existing knowledge is advantageous.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peoria, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process work including time studies and process development.
• Create and analyze 3D models and 2D views for manufacturing processes.
• Utilize tools to check dimensions and ensure accuracy.
• Train to use the MRP system for building and maintaining routings.
• Work within the welding department to implement process improvements.
• Assist in transitioning from paper-based to digital processes.
• Contribute to the setup and implementation of digital software systems.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in process improvement and lean manufacturing.
• Experience with metal fabrication and welding processes.
• Familiarity with CAD software, specifically Creo.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work with digital transformation projects.

Work Environment

This position primarily operates on the manufacturing floor. The standard schedule is first shift, but occasional assistance may be required on the second shift from 3:30 pm to midnight, which includes 30 minutes of overtime daily or an adjusted schedule of 8 hours. The first shift runs from 7 am to 4 pm or 8 am to 5 pm. Benefits include two weeks of PTO, 13 paid holidays, and one week of sick pay.

Pay, Benefits & Eligibility

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $43.26/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
