Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Liverpool, NY

Pay Range: $43-50 an hour

Duration: 12-month contract

Responsibilities

• Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
• Must be a self-starter and take initiative on projects.
• Work well with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of Green Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing is desired.
• Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment to improve product performance.
• May help incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
• Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency, and initiates corrective actions to ensure product quality.
• Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specifications to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Ensures processes and procedures comply with regulations.
