Overview

Job Summary: Seeking motivated individuals with a willingness to learn and take direction in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role involves assisting in the assembly and production of refrigeration systems, performing mechanical, electrical, or sheet metal tasks, and supporting production goals through teamwork and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical:

  • Braze and/or silver solder fittings using a torch
  • Fabricate copper tube headers, stubs, and components

Electrical:

  • Assist in electrical layouts and wiring per design schematics
  • Wire components such as pressure switches, solenoid valves, and compressors

Sheet Metal:

  • Install sheet metal on refrigeration systems using various hand and power tools
  • Operate equipment such as drills, saws, punches, and tape measures

General:

  • Support quality department with issue resolution
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work independently and complete tasks on time
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools required
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to accurately measure with a tape measure
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Perform basic math, including fractions and ratios
  • Follow oral and written instructions effectively
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
  • Adaptable, organized, and capable of multitasking

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Safety toe shoes, safety glasses, and long pants required in production areas
  • Ability to lift/move up to 45 pounds occasionally
  • Regular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and use of hands
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional conduct in all work settings
