Manufacturing Engineer Job at CPS Inc in Elk Grove Village

Responsibilities

• Provide a critical review of new project installations to assure adherence to plant EH&S guidelines
• Provide training for new or existing processes where technical background is required
• Understand and report on daily KPIs to help drive priorities and decisions for the day
• Troubleshooting solutions using sound analytical troubleshooting methods
• Participate in and provide technical support for Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations
• Responsible for utilizing statistical process methods to verify control of processes
• Responsible for proposing objectives and preliminary scope for new processes or projects and collaborating with appropriate individuals for input
• Participate in capital project meetings from design to startup and assure effective operability of new processes
• Apply electrical, controls and mechanical troubleshooting to support operations and maintenance teams
• Manage capital investment projects overseeing budgets of up to $250k while providing progress updates and incorporating director-level feedback
• Support capital investment projects with budgets of up to $2m with engineering design, layout planning, project management, contractor management, installation, commissioning, compliance, and SOP development

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum of 4 years of experience
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on automated equipment and systems
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and mechanical manufacturing equipment
• Project management experience is desired. They will train and develop if needed.
