Overview

Holy Innocents' Episcopal School is seeking a Custodian. The custodian is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the buildings on campus and other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities. This is a full time, calendar year position. Full time employees may be eligible for benefits including health care coverage, retirement plan contributions and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Perform general, routine custodial duties, such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles, dispose of trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bag trash for proper disposal.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as custodian or comparable position.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Physical demands

• Frequent lifting of equipment and materials weighing 50 pounds or more
• Crawl, climb ladders, twist, turn and reach in completing a variety of job duties

• Able to operate vehicles and machines
