Summary

Keep shop areas including, but not limited to, break rooms, restrooms and offices clean and sanitized.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash dumpsters and scrap containers as needed.
• Properly use and maintain all equipment and supplies provided for the position including, but not limited to, mops, brooms and assorted cleansers.
• Complete cleaning tasks in shop break rooms including, but not limited to, empting trash, cleaning drinking fountains, floors, windows, microwave ovens and refrigerators.
• Complete cleaning tasks in shop restrooms including, but not limited to, sanitizing urinals, toilets, sinks and tiled walls. Sweep and mop floors, empty trash and refill towels and tissue containers.
• Complete cleaning tasks in shop offices including, but not limited to, empting trash, washing windows and sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Requisition supplies as needed. Monitor and report usage in a timely manner.
• Pick-up trash outside building. Empty cigarette containers and refresh sand as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as trained and assigned.
• Assist operators with material stacking, moving and handling as assigned.
• Assist with movement of office supplies, furniture, files, equipment and miscellaneous items.
• Clean office areas as assigned.

Knowledge And Skills

• Able to understand and follow directions, instructions and/or other forms of specifications relative to assigned tasks.
• Capable of quality assessment, trouble shooting, visualizing the finished project and incorporating improvements.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects to meet business requirements and schedule workflow to achieve optimum output.
• Demonstrates high degree of professional behavior, appearance, work ethic, attention to detail, honesty and reliability.
• Demonstrates ability to manage stress constructively and maintain professional, positive, even temperament during periods of frustration, ambiguity and change. Demonstrable skills in interpersonal communication and conflict management.
