Academic Requirements:

Required – High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications:

First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention

Work Experience:

Required – 2+ years in janitorial or maintenance, knowledge of chemicals and reactions, safe use of cleaning supplies and equipment; Preferred – 3+ years related experience and/or training

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:

1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to this position.
2. Maintain safe, sanitized conditions in agency buildings and equipment, exceeding licensing and policy requirements.
3. Operate janitorial and maintenance equipment and report malfunctions immediately.
4. Maintain knowledge of equipment used for janitorial and maintenance duties.
5. Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions, and operations.
6. Implement safety protocols, including evacuations during emergencies.
7. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
8. Maintain confidentiality in all child and program operations.
9. Follow professional and ethical standards as outlined in the employee handbook, respecting staff, children, and community members, and adhering to dress code.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Clean, sanitize, and maintain buildings and equipment per policies and regulations.
2. Report unsafe conditions and suggest solutions.
3. Meet all deadlines required by the program and partners.
4. Traverse campus areas frequently.
5. Move equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
6. Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.

Requirements:

1. Pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screens.
2. Provide proof of work eligibility.
3. Pass criminal background checks.
4. Demonstrate ability to respond sensitively to diverse populations, work collaboratively, interpret policies, work in fast-paced environments, organize work, maintain computer literacy, and work independently or in teams.
