Overview
Under the direction of the Facilities Services Custodial Supervisor, the Sr. Custodian performs a variety of custodial/housekeeping tasks to care for, maintain, disinfect, sanitize, and preserve campus facilities. The Sr. Custodian is responsible for the upkeep of their assigned building(s) to ensure a safe and clean environment for staff and students. The Sr. Custodian may work independently or as part of a team in assigned work areas in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines and close turnarounds while maintaining a positive attitude. The Sr. Custodian uses their own initiative and proactively addresses daily tasks to maintain a clean environment. Sr. Custodians communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty and students to ensure a good relationship with campus customers.
Please note: This job posting is for multiple openings on various shifts including day, swing, and graveyard shifts.
The full salary range for the Sr. Custodian position is $21.05 - $28.89 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
***Please note the realized minimum pay for this position will be $25 an hour.***

Requirements / Qualifications
- Current work authorization to accept a UCR staff position. Sponsorship of employment visas is not available.
- Ability to work multiple shifts as indicated (day, swing, graveyard).
- Ability to comply with applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements; follow federal, state, or local directives as required.
- Willingness to perform custodial duties in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with campus community.
