SBM Management is looking for a new Custodian/CSR to help them shine. We are seeking hardworking, dependable individuals to join the team as our company continues to grow. We have an immediate opening for a custodian who wants to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. We are looking for custodial team members with strong customer service skills who can work well with other team members. The CSR works well with coworkers and customers. Understand and follow explicit instructions, both oral and written. Give, receive, or explain job-related data using basic communication skills. Requires good judgment in thought and/or decision-making. May need to explain work methods and instructions. Aid in training others or demonstrate work processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting)
  • Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, clean blinds and draperies)
  • Waste removal (empty trash and recycle bins, transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas)
  • Light maintenance (replace light bulbs, restock supply cabinet/room)
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop unsafe behavior of others and self.
  • Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
  • Take direction and respond to supervision.
  • Use proper personal protective equipment.
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Understand reporting systems and the environment.
  • Transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables; straighten areas such as lobbies and conference rooms; pick up trash, recycling, and compost bins and transport to proper disposal areas; light vacuuming; dusting; restocking supplies.
  • Between events, assist with cleaning drop-in desktops, restocking restrooms and break rooms, damp mopping floors, restroom cleaning, glass cleaning, restocking and organizing supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas, cleaning elevators, spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets, and dusting open common spaces.

Qualifications:

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • Know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • Know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc.
  • Required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time; will also require proof of vehicle registration and insurance
  • Bilingual is a plus, not required

Compensation: $16.50-$17.00 per hour.

Shifts:

  • Monday - Friday 4:00am - 12:30pm
  • Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 4:00pm
