Green Thumb Industries is hiring: Industrial Custodian in Carson City

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Custodian to ensure a clean facility. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of the facility and ensuring that equipment and the building are safe and well-functioning. As a qualified candidate, you will have knowledge and experience in maintaining and inspecting to ensure optimal operations. Our main goal is safety for all our employees, and as a solution-oriented professional, you will ensure the entire team is working under the best conditions.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance of major building equipment
• Schedule regular inspections for necessary equipment (HVAC, fire extinguishers, etc.)
• Clean and sanitize office areas and bathrooms
• Clean, mop, and vacuum floors
• Empty and remove trash/recycling materials
• Maintain outside walk areas, including sweeping debris
• Dust and wipe down furniture
• Move cabinets, boxes, and equipment to clean areas
• Use ladders to dust and wash walls, clean ceilings, and fixtures
• Establish an in-house inventory of cleaning supplies
• Support various departments within the building
• Assess and recommend maintenance needs as the business grows

Working Conditions

• Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil)

Qualifications

• Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or in teams with keen judgment and common sense
• Compassionate with a strong work ethic
• Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• High attention to detail, time management, and accuracy
• Previous cannabis industry experience is not required

Additional Requirements

• Must pass all required background checks
• Must be compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must be approved by the DOH to receive an Agent badge
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 40 pounds (80 pounds with assistance)
