Housekeeper- Fairfield Inn & Suites #7335 - Fresno, CA
Fairfield Inn & Suites located in Fresno, CA is looking to hire Housekeepers for our Fresno, CA location. This position is responsible for the cleanliness of the public and guest areas of the hotel and restaurant.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the cleaning of corridors, guest areas, service areas and linen closets.
- Empty housekeepers\' trash and linen bags.
- Deposit linen down chute and carry trash to dumpster.
- Vacuum corridors and/or guestrooms.
- Deliver rollaway and cribs to guestrooms.
- Turn mattresses as directed by management.
- Stock supplies needed for linen closets.
- Vacuum public areas.
- Sweep and mop service landings.
- Mop vending machine areas and keep machines clean.
- Check all public restrooms for cleanliness several times daily.
- Check each floor to make sure fire doors are open.
- Check elevators for cleanliness.
- Assist with luggage handling.
- Clean rooms when needed.
- Change bed linen daily.
- Vacuum carpeting.
- Dust all furniture (picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, dressers).
- Remove fingerprints and smudges (mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc).
- Thoroughly clean the bathroom area - wash shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, etc.
- Ensure standard room setup is complied with.
- Report immediately any damage found in a room and any missing items.
- Notify Housekeeping Supervisor of all rollaways or cribs in rooms for pickup and storage.
- Take responsibility for pass key and ensure it is turned in daily.
- Turn in immediately all lost and found items to supervisor.
- Report to the Housekeeping Supervisor any unusual circumstances (e.g., no luggage, no service needed, sleep outs, extra guests).
- Shut off all lights, TVs and air conditioners when leaving room; check lights and change bulbs as needed.
- Maintain outside grounds daily.
- Assist in unloading deliveries and proper storage of such; maintenance of the marquee.
- Sort linens for washer and remove stains from badly soiled linen.
- Operate washers and dryers properly; fold linens to hotel standards.
- Wash banquet and kitchen laundry; wash bedspreads, bed pads, and blankets per instructions.
- Keeps laundry area neat and clean; check daily for banquet and restaurant linen needs.
- Handle all laundry chemical products properly and advise Housekeeper of inventory levels.
- Assist other Housekeepers in other areas when laundry is slow or work is caught up.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Adheres to all company policies & procedures & brand standards.
Requirements
- Must have knowledge of hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
- Must have the ability to lift, bend, move heavy equipment, and remain on one\'s feet for extended periods of time.
- Must have good communication skills; Spanish speaking skills are a plus.
- Must be team oriented and dedicated to providing excellent service and ensuring that the brand’s highest standards are met. Each team member is considered a salesperson for the property.
- Must be able to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays. Any hotel employee may be asked to use their personal vehicle for business purposes at any time.
