Job Description
Job Title: Obstetrics Hospitalist
Profession: Physician

Hours per Shift: 7 AM to 7 AM
Experience: 1-5 years in similar practice settings - highly preferred
License: Active state medical license or application in progress
Certifications: Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification
Must-Have:
Candidates must be Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Candidates must have current BLS, ACLS, and DEA certifications prior to starting.
COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all candidates.
Candidates must hold the appropriate state medical license or have an active application in progress for licensure prior to starting the position.
Candidates with delivery experience are required.
Description:
We are seeking a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to join our dynamic team as an Obstetrics Hospitalist.
This opportunity offers the chance to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in a supportive hospital environment.
The physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.
The physician will care for approximately thirteen to fourteen patients daily in inpatient, outpatient, rounds, and clinic settings.
The electronic medical record system used is EPIC for patient documentation and care management.
The schedule consists of five to six twenty-four-hour shifts per month, each shift running from seven in the morning to seven the following morning.
Weekend shifts are required and follow the same twenty-four-hour schedule as weekdays.
There are no on-call responsibilities associated with this position.
The average number of deliveries per 24-hour period is four to five, with the majority being vaginal deliveries and 25% being C-sections.
Fellowship completion is not required.
Candidates who are new graduates or those who are truly board eligible but not yet certified are not eligible for consideration.
Candidates with a history of malpractice or licensing issues may be considered, but such cases will be reviewed on an individual basis with limitations applied.
This position is open to candidates interested in working as independent contractors.
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant practice experience.
