What You Will Do
- Stay in compliance with all plant policies and safety procedures.
- Ensure products are properly palletized and stretch wrapped, and properly stacked in the warehouse.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Ensure there are no unlabeled containers in the work area.
- Supply required packaging materials for the assigned production line.
- Prepare each morning production line – assure inventory needs for the production run.
- Prepare end of run – manage unused materials by properly labeling and storing for future use.
- Operate forklift in a safe and proper manner.
- Perform minimum maintenance daily on forklift and complete daily inspection log.
- Load/unload freight trucks on an as-needed basis.
- Handle raw materials, packaging items, and finished product to and from warehouses and production facilities safely.
- Monitor inventory quantities.
- Maintain an organized warehouse when delivering finished product in accordance with warehouse manager’s specifications.
- Be knowledgeable of the products we handle.
- Assist plant personnel in seeking ways to eliminate waste and inefficiency throughout the plant.
What You Will Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- 1+ year of relevant experience required.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to pass a written forklift operator examination and skill test.
- Ability to work flexible hours to satisfy customer requirements.
