Overview

Forklift Operator position with Kelly.

Schedule: 5:30PM - 2AM (Off on Thursday and Saturday).

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
  • Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
  • Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass internal forklift certification training and demonstrate safety procedures.
  • Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.

Physical requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear.
  • The employee may frequently stand on their feet.
  • The employee is regularly required to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Occasionally the employee may need to lift up to 65 lbs; when this occurs, team lifting and/or provided equipment should be used.
  • The employee must have the capability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and the whole body – bending, crouching, climbing, using steps and ladders, pushing/pulling, stooping and reaching.
