Forklift Operator

Pay Rate/Range: $21.00 • Hours: Sun-Thurs, 10am-6:30pm • Location: Memphis, TN • Duration: 3 months

Position Overview

Responsible for transporting, storing, and handling merchandise in a warehouse environment. Ensures accuracy of inventory records, supports production lines, and maintains safe and efficient material flow. Operates stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and other equipment while adhering to company safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport merchandise from receiving docks or reserve slots to proper warehouse locations.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, pack sizes, and product descriptions.
• Stack, rotate, and slot materials in designated storage areas.
• Pull materials for production lines and move finished goods to storage or trailers.
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Operate technology tools such as voice-picking systems and RF scanners to select and track product.
• Perform inventory control tasks to ensure accuracy and organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a stand-up forklift or reach truck.
• Ability to lift 20–80 lbs. regularly and occasionally more than 90 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours per shift.
• Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Must be able to use independent judgment and discretion.
• Effective team player with strong customer service mindset.
• Physically capable of twisting, bending, carrying, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, and stooping as required.
