Essential Functions:
- Ability to multi-task, keeping job production flowing throughout the store and production area at all times.
- Ensure work area is a safe environment at all times.
- Ability to carry out verbal and written tasks with minimal supervision.
- Perform daily inspections on loader.
- Stage vehicles, including transporting them to and from the staging area.
- Transport vehicles to and from the drain shop.
- Check fluids twice daily to ensure proper operation.
- Operate forklift or skid steer while observing all safety regulations.
- Assist in maintaining a safe production/store environment for employees and customers.
- Ensure an environmentally safe environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Marginal Functions:
- Knowledge and experience in the auto dismantling industry.
- Prior experience operating a loader or similar equipment is a plus.
Physical Activities Required:
- Sitting, walking, bending, and stretching are regularly required to perform job functions, production, and safety responsibilities.
- Able to sit for 6-8 hours per day in two-hour intervals.
- Manual dexterity to handle tools and the ability to move 50 pounds regularly required.
- Sufficient vision to perform job functions.
- Good eye-hand coordination and motor skills.
Job Conditions:
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions on a regular basis.
- Periodic exposure to minimal chemical hazards.
Qualifications:
- Attend retraining classes annually that meet company standards.
- Successfully complete the Chemical Hazards Training program.
- Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Work flexible shifts and schedules.
- Use proper safety equipment and procedures.
