Miller Brothers Staffing is actively seeking a Welding Supervisor in Youngstown OH.

Pay - $20-$28
Shift: 3

This position will report directly to the Operations Manager. This position will act as the first point of contact for any welding, machining and paint issues.
Specific Duties

• Coordinate the daily activities of the weld teams
• Manage employee's attendance and hours worked
• Evaluate employee performance
• Utilize and enforce progressive discipline policy as needed
• Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
• Train and coach new and current employees
• Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
• Lead all employees in company safety initiatives, foster a safe work environment and enforce/support safety policies and rules
• Program CNC machine tool
• Operate CNC machine tool
• Oversee production machining orders
• Updating/creating machining procedures and controlled documents
• Understanding of required PPE (how to select and why it is required)
• Exhibit proper donning of PPE daily
• Report safety hazards to supervision/mgt.
• Attend monthly all shop meetings

• Experience in Machining and Job Set Up as well as G code and Conversation
• Ability to maintain production operations through supervising, planning, scheduling, and monitoring labor productivity
• Strong leadership and coaching skills
• Ability to read blueprints
• Comfort with computers and programs like office and excel
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and resolve issues
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques

• The ability to lift 50 lbs.
