Job Overview: Jeffrey Davis Portable Welding Fabrication LLC is seeking a motivated and certified Welding Technician to join our field operations team. This full-time, travel-based role involves structural welding and custom fabrication for commercial projects—primarily Walmart remodels and expansions—across the U.S. This is a fast-paced role that involves hands-on work and travel on the road.

Key Responsibilities
- Travel to job sites across the U.S. to perform on-site structural welding and fabrication.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Weld steel columns, beams, and custom structural components.
- Fabricate parts in the field as needed to meet project requirements.
- Work on high-profile commercial projects such as Walmart remodels and expansions.
- Maintain welding equipment and follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Adapt to changing schedules, site conditions, and project timelines.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with general contractors and site personnel.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of structural welding/fabrication experience.
- AWS certification (required).
- Experience reading blueprints and executing structural welds in the field.
- Must be able and willing to travel extensively for projects.
- Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in fast-changing environments with shifting project demands.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.

Schedule
