Job Description

This position is located in Laramie, WY, and will require candidates to relocate to the surrounding area.

We are seeking Welders and Metal Fabricators interested in becoming technical instructors at WyoTech, a premier technical trade school in Laramie, WY. No teaching experience is required but helpful. This is an excellent opportunity for industry professionals to expand their careers by training future Welders and Fabricators. The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in the Welding and Fabricating industry.
• Experience in course and curriculum development, project development, and project management.
• Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW welding processes.
• Experience in custom fabrication, reading blueprints, cutting techniques, and CNC usage.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
• Ability to learn and efficiently use educational software and computers.
• Industry certifications such as AWS, API, CIC are a plus.

Day-to-day instructor responsibilities include:

• Learning and utilizing grading software proficiently.
• Working with students in both classroom and shop environments.
• Lecturing on hands-on related materials.
