ATANE
ATANE is currently seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding operations and inspections meet both customer specifications and applicable code requirements. This role will support the Quality Manager in upholding ATANE’s quality assurance standards and play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify welding processes, procedures, and inspections comply with customer requirements and applicable codes.
Assist the Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining company-wide quality assurance standards.
Train visual testing inspectors and fabrication staff on inspection techniques and compliance procedures.
Supervise visual inspectors to ensure conformance with company and client weld inspection protocols.
Provide regular updates to the Quality Manager and Factory Manager regarding quality performance and issues.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning related to welding and fabrication deficiencies.
Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
3–10 years of relevant experience in welding inspection (7–10 years preferred).
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering/construction environment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable navigating web-based platforms.
