Position Overview:

As a Technical Instructor, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the minds and skills of our students. Your expertise in gasoline and diesel engines, diagnostics, and repair will guide them towards a promising career in various industries. We believe hands-on learning is key, so get ready to dive into interactive teaching and inspire students to conquer modern marine technology challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Inspire and Educate: Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, fostering their passion for welding while imparting your expert knowledge.
• Hands-On Training: Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students gain real-world experience.
• Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones aligned with industry trends.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor students on their projects, encouraging critical thinking and innovation.
• Safety First: Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure environment for students.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years practical work in the field
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective student and staff engagement
• Patience and Empathy: A patient, empathetic approach to teaching, understanding individual learning paces

About Us:

Compass Rose Foundation (CRF) is an 80-year-old Florida non-profit organization governing post-secondary institutions. Its current focus is developing trade and technical schools, including Jones Technical Institute (J-Tech) in Jacksonville, offering programs in Automotive, Diesel, Marine & RV Technology, HVAC-R, Commercial Truck Driving, Welding, and soon Network Administration and Security.
