Salary: $33.14 - $40.19 per hour, depending on experience level determined during interview process
Hours: Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm

What Will I Be Doing?
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment with a “Safety First” mindset, including PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tanks, vessels, piping systems and structural systems.
- Rigging and lifting of equipment, tools, parts and assemblies in accordance with Rigging and Lifting policy.
- Work without supervision where required; lay out and fabricate new and replacement piping systems; install valves and related piping equipment; perform repairs and preventive maintenance to established standards.
- Must have working knowledge of blueprint reading, interpretation of isometric diagrams; able to be certified to B31.1 and B31.3 Pipe Welding Code in 6-G position for carbon and stainless steel; lay out, position, and secure parts per specifications.
- Weld components using GTAW, SMAW, MIG and gas welding processes. Use plasma cutter, acetylene torch, band saw, and cut-off machines. Prep threaded pipe with threading and cutting equipment.
- Observe tests on welded surfaces (hydrostatic, x-ray, dimension tolerance) and inspect grooves, angles, or gaps using measuring instruments; remove rough spots as needed.
- Interpret engineering drawings to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations; develop templates and work aids; select equipment and welding method, applying metallurgy and welding technique knowledge.
- Work from elevated surfaces using fall protection equipment as necessary.
- Operate heavy industrial equipment (forklifts, scissors lifts, boom lifts, skid loaders).
- Work in confined spaces as required.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
- Perform other tasks including mechanical repairs and maintenance as assigned by Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Meet performance expectations as part of appraisals, including employee development planning.
- Maintain personal tools required for the job; provide up-to-date tool list as part of employment.
- Meet physical requirements of the job, which will be provided prior to employment.
- Perform assigned tasks safely, effectively, and efficiently; complete time accounting and work orders accurately and timely.
Special Note: This job description summarizes the duties of two types of welders. “Pipe Fitters” perform preparation work while “Pipe Welders” are certified and perform the actual welding. We are seeking an individual who is certified, willing, and able to perform duties of both Pipe Fitter and Pipe Welder.

- Education: AA degree in Welding preferred, but not required.
- 0-5 years of Industrial Pipe Fitting, Pipe Welding and Repairs experience.
- 0-5 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.
- Must have current valid driver’s license.
