Job Summary:The Welding Instructional Staff has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, classroom and lab instruction of welding in the Camp and Low Security Federal Prison System. This position is also responsible for curriculum development. This is a part-time, 12-month exempt position that reports to LSCPA’s Inmate Instruction Department.
Minimum Qualifications:- Associates degree from a regionally accredited college or university and three years of relevant work experience. Years of work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Must be approved following a Federal Bureau of Prisons’ background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience
- 5-10 years of industry experience;
Commensurate
Work Hours:Part time hours, Monday – Friday, with some evenings, depending upon class schedule

Essential Job Functions:Provide quality instruction
Participate in college tasks, which includes but is not limited to, advising, recruiting, and tutoring

Travel to various campuses and/or conferences, seminar locations, and Low Security Federal Prison System
