An established company in Northeast Iowa is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join their team. There are currently two opportunities available: 1st and 2nd shift. This role is critical in ensuring quality, compliance, and safety standards are consistently met across welding operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in welding inspection, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) of welds
- Ensure compliance with welding codes and specifications
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve welding-related issues
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to welding processes and quality
Qualifications:
- CWI certification is required— candidates without this credential will not be considered
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, codes (AWS, ASME, etc.), and inspection techniques
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Note: We are looking for the right fit, and holding an active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential is essential for this position.
