Overview
MAU is hiring a Fabrication and Welding Inspector for our client in Rosedale, MS. As a Fabrication and Welding Inspector, you will inspect welded structural steel components to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 codes and quality standards. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information
- Monday–Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM with occasional overtime on Fridays as needed
- Training Shift: Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Required Education and Experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Fabrication & Welding Inspector in a manufacturing environment
Education and Experience
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI D1.1) credential
General Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and materials
- Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and other relevant industry codes and standards
- Proficiency in interpreting fabrication shop drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Essential Functions
- Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 codes, standards, and project specifications
- Utilize non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, such as ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing, to identify potential defects or discontinuities in welds
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspection results
- Ensure welding processes adhere to applicable codes and customer requirements
- Provide guidance to production personnel to address non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve fabrication-related issues promptly
- Stay current on industry trends, codes, and regulations to improve the inspection process
