Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the District Manager, grow the rental, lease and sales of Red D Arc Specialty Products (including sub-arc systems, positioners, manipulators, turning rolls, orbital and heat treating equipment, blasting products and related welding equipment) in the Mid-South Region.
• Follow up on sales leads, make presentations in a professional manner, prepare quotes, produce conceptual Hard Automation application drawings, and expand current Hard Automation sales channels.
• Assist customers in self-performing their own heat treating and orbital welding; work with end user customers and support the field sales team.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc health and safety guidelines.
• Develop and increase end user customer bases through effective communication, needs assessment and recommendations of Specialty Products solutions.
• Expand Weld Automation sales channels and develop new channels such as growing lines, cladding systems, hard automation work cell integration and other specialized Hard Automation Integration applications.
• Make application recommendations of Weld Automation product lines.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to move them from novice to competent self-performers in Orbital welding and Heat Treating.
• Train RDA field sales teams and Airgas Advanced Fabrication Specialists to understand capabilities and grow PMT sales.
• Initiate and grow relationships with Red-D-Arc Sales Leaders to grow Weld Automation Sales within each district.
• Coordinate and perform onsite setup of equipment and demonstrations; work as part of a team to provide customer solutions; provide exceptional customer service.
• Represent the company at trade association meetings and trade shows; cold-call and create compilations of potential customers & leads.
• Maintain accurate and timely reports including business plans and regional forecasts; perform other related duties as required.
• Travel required 50%.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Post-secondary education equivalent to an Associates degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Greater than five years sales experience in Weld Process Sales.
• Strong background in all welding processes with emphasis on automation and SAW.
• Preferred qualifications/certifications such as CWI, CWE, CRAW, CWS, NCCER instructor, etc.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems, act decisively, and persist in the face of obstacles.
• Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions; strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision; strong teamwork skills.
• Excellent technical knowledge with strong interpersonal and management skills; customer-service mindset with proactive follow-up and communication.
